The aging process can lead to changes in the upper face including forehead creasing, drooping eyebrows, hooding over the eyes and frown lines. These symptoms of aging facial skin can consequently give patients the impression of looking tired, older or even angry. Our brow lift procedure is designed to correct undesirable aging features while restoring a more youthful, rested appearance and maintaining natural balance and expression. A forehead lift or brow lift is an effective way to reverse these changes brought on by aging skin and create better overall facial balance.
For the majority of patients, their desired brow lift outcome can be achieved using modern endoscopic techniques which leaves behind small incisions hidden within the hair line. This endoscopic technique is sometimes called a mini brow lift. A mini brow lift is a less invasive brow procedure that smooths and lifts the forehead to help raise your brow line and reduce hooding in the upper eyelids. Depending on the desired results and other contributing factors, some patients may require a full brow lift or direct brow lift to achieve the best outcome.
There are non-surgical brow lift options as well, like BOTOX® injections. These injections relax the muscles in the forehead, easing the tension that causes brow wrinkles. One of the many benefits of BOTOX® injections, unlike other cosmetic procedures, is that it can be repeated as needed. Although they can be individually assessed, we often evaluate the eyes, eyelids and position of the brows at the same time. Depending on overall desired results, an eyelid lift may be a recommended option to tighten the skin around your eyes and eyelids. Another procedure that may be recommended to enhance your brow lift is a facelift and/or necklift, which will tighten and lift the facial and neck skin creating a rejuvenated appearance for the upper, mid and lower face.
